ABOUT THIS SITE 

i seek no press and i do not spam anyone on Facebook or YouTube or anywhere else on the web for that matter.  this website is receiving traffic from 80+ countries every month through word-of-mouth only.  in fact besides the United States (of course) the traffic has been incredible from Russia, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, Brazil, Poland, Sweden, Finland, The Netherlands, and Australia and i want to thank all of you especially along with everyone else for listening, visiting, and whatever else.

this is not business.  this is my cyber bedroom and since the front door is open everyone is welcome until i close it.  yes this site is 1st and foremost about my music but it is also about many of the other things that i love OR hate and anything else i feel like in between.

just to be clear i handle everything around here.  unless otherwise noted every frame of this website, every note you hear, every word you read, and every image you see was created by me for me 1st and for everyone else 2nd.  there are no "fans" here.  only idiots and wannabes use that word to describe an audience. fellow travelers sounds much more appropriate to me.  i do not speak of myself in the 3rd person either.  that's just more bad comedy out of the Pretenders to the Throne Handbook for Dummies.

the written word section is loaded with my writing, journals, & a variety of other things.  i am constantly updating it as well as every other section of this site.  as part of the audience i myself know that music/band sites for the most part are PAINFULLY BORING, infrequently updated, & lacking in content so i hope to forego "profit" here for the sake of something more interesting.  i guarantee that every day you return here you will find something new.  if you email me i'll answer.  it's a real simple process.  i'm not like so many of the others.  i respect actual participants anyway not those who hide in their thinly veiled cyber corners playing their tired petty fame games.  98% of you will most likely never get to know me in person so here's a virtual part of me instead.  thank you for perusing.

MY STORY

i spent the last decade out west mostly in hollywood & about a year of that in vegas.  during that time i recorded by myself as a solo artist & as turbovulva.  in 2005 i was the founder (strap-on sweetie was going to be the title of a 2002 turbovulva EP but i kept the name only to have it wasted on a procrastinating asshole) of the music outfit strap-on sweetie which i finally quit for good in august of 2010.  why ??  just look at the dates of all of my releases.  you will clearly see the drastic drop make that free fall in output once i was with strap-on sweetie & the drastic spurt of output that has resulted ever since.  from 2005-2010 it was i fucking nightmare trying to get anything of any great volume done with that guy.  i'm free of that now and honestly feel like i'm just getting started.  click on STRAP-ON SWEETIE in the menu above if you want to know the rest.

since leaving strap-on sweetie i've released 4 EP's & 3 full-length albums Dammerung (March 2012) Families Are Ghost Stories (Jan 2012)& Human Garbage Assembly Line (Sept 2011).  2011 was a year of catching up due to poor decisions in the past & was by far the most prolific year of my entire musical life. i plan for 2012 to be more of the same.  i'm not going to wait around for any audience.  if they want to keep up they can and if they get behind at any point there will always be plenty of new things to discover a.k.a. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.  i have one life and today is my only guarantee so if i want to release 5 albums this year i'm going to release 5 albums.  the only boss of that is me.  i (like a select few) am the absolute prototype of the future of music = self-contained, sleek, fast, and with all the fat cut off of the sides.  the old way is dead and buried where it belongs.  the old hat fat ballerinas are dying on the vine as i type this.

i've learned i obviously do not play well with others or maybe it's more like they don't know HOW to play.  besides being in a "band" is as outdated a concept as can be found in this current setting.  at least along the way i did a lot of work in movies & on television (pretty boring next to music).  i taught myself to paint as well.  you can find some of my pieces in the gallery section of this site.  i have spent a little over the last year back in chicago back in the concrete jungle back by myself alone free to make music art whatever whenever the fuck i want without interruption.  i DESPISE the music industry & most "art" communities in general these days because they are all infested with day-job roaches who are nothing more than tourists on a pretenders-to-the-throne cruise. (but) i'm certainly never going to quit on their account so this site bears the fruit of my labor (of love).

 i may or may not be playing live shows in the near future.  i have not decided either way.  anyway enjoy.
